A range of whole class and individual checklists to assist with the collection of evidence and assessment of children’s achievement throughout the year. All checklists follow the interim framework criteria which was previously used for SATs assessments and moderations. They are all editable so you can add or remove objectives as you see fit.
Whole class checklists allow the teacher to have an overview of the whole class on one page and identify gaps to cover further. They include working at, working towards and greater depth checklist. Additionally, there is a spelling checklist of a shortened version of the common exception words, contractions and some suffix words.
Individual checklists for pupil books allow children to identify how well they are doing and what they need to work on next. Checklists are available using the exact language of the interim framework and a ‘child speak’ version.
Children use their mathematical understanding of shape to generate as many different ways of organising 5 squares. They are asked by a building company to find all the different ways of laying out 5 rooms for a new block of flats. Fits in well with ‘Houses’ topic in Geography. A range of different Christmas-themed word problems to solve with pictures to help support the children’s working out. Why not try something different with word problems? Instead of completing at their tables, mount these problems onto card and hide them around the classroom, children can complete using the attached record sheet. A set of 39 Bingo activities that cover number facts for the year 2 National Curriculum. Included is a powerpoint with 39 slides to show the children and separate powerpoint with 39 slides for the teacher to read out. There is also a recording sheet.
Children pick 5 numbers or calculations and write them on the recording paper or whiteboard.
