A couple revision lessons on the approaches - would take me at least 2-3 hours probably to cover this as its a 66 slide ppt with 10 documents in total. Couldlast even more if you get them to try out some of the exam questions and do all the worksheets. PPT: Has short summaries of each of the approaches and then a series of exam questions, on each approach, to show key exam technique, advice for answering and sometimes sample answers. Included is a student version with blanks to fill in, or to use to test their knowledge before going over each topic. Documents: Includes a couple essay answer samples as well and lots of summary quick recall activities (blank table, key word knowledge check, crossword etc).

Full Lesson resources for Zimbardo lesson. This could cover 1.5-2 hours of time. I usually go over social roles, before getting them to watch the 30 min video and complete their notes sheet. Then I go over the study so they can add in any details they missed into their sheet. Then the students complete the evaluation tasks. Before ending the lesson with a true or false. It includes a detailed powerpoint and a few activities. A really interactive session on Eye Witness Testimony with lots of activities and videos throughout the session. Includes having the students become “real” eye witnesses as well. Designed for year 10/year 11 students as a taster for A level Psychology - could really be used with any exam board but was made with AQA in mind. All instructions are in the notes sections of the ppt slides. Adaptable in length - can last anywhere from 30 mins - 60 mins really depending on how many of the activities are done in the session.

It includes a fun activity which can be done for open evening- serial killer or psychologist (the descriptions should be stuck on the back of the photos for each card). After covering the features of Lombroso’s theory they examine their picture to see if their criminal has any of those features.

This is a full lesson and homework for the year 1 statistics part of the course. It has a ppt covering significance and the 5% level of probability as well as how to do a sign test. It includes 3 examples of sign test studies to practise on including one where the students carry out their own study and collate the data to show the whole process. Note: One is tricky so can be an extension for stretch and challenge. It also includes a homework sheet to practise sign tests, drawing conclusions and maths bits and another document of past sign test questions for more practise. Answers/teacher copies are provided for the examples and homework. A2 Stats lesson has also been uploaded and this can be bought as a bundle of all my first year lessons for RM.

Designed to recap the whole of social influence for AQA Psychology. This includes, obedience, conformity, minority influence and resisting social influence. Most topics are condensed to one manageable slide that can be turned into revision cards - often more detail is included in the notes of the powerpoint. I give the students a copy of the student version (usually 2 slides to page) to complete and annotate while I go through the teacher version as a class. Sometimes asking them to complete sections before I go through it. I have uploaded a similar thing for most first year topics and Forensic, Gender, Schizophrenia & Issues and Debates for the second year topics.

This includes a powerpoint detailing notes for experimental designs. I usually only get them to take notes on the description of each design and then they do the card sort to get the evaluation for each. I use the experiment resources to demonstrate the differences in the designs and also to get them thinking about the strengths and weaknesses. Words vs Pictures for repeated measures and then the long and short words memory test for independent groups (instructions on ppt and in notes under ppt slides). 2 sets of exam questions included - one can be for the lesson and one for homework. These assume some prior lessons have been completed on variables, pilot studies and types of experiments. Also uploaded my types of experiments lesson

For AQA Psychology Specification. It covers Independent and Dependent Variables, Conditions, Extraneous and Confounding Variables, and Operationalisation. It is a powerpoint with a notes sheet that the students take their notes into. This notes sheet then has numerous activities inbedded in it that the students complete throughout the lesson. It takes me 1 hour 30 mins to cover this lesson using these resources.
