Miss E’s Resources

Hi, I am a primary school teacher currently working in year 4! I have a primary PGCE specialising in Leadership in Modern Foreign Languages. I am passionate about reigniting the love of language learning in the primary classroom and providing fun and interactive resources to help non-specialists teachers! I have also attended various maths courses focussed on teaching maths through stories and have developed my own schemes of work from this training. This approached has helped my children grasp

KS1/2 Maths Lesson Sequence - Multiplication Arrays

A sequence of fun lessons aimed to teach children the priciples of multipliction linked to repeated addition. The planning also explores using known facts to derive new ones. Based on the book ‘Amanda Bean’s Amazing Dream’ I have created three lessons complete with starters, differentiated work sheets and resources. My year 3 class loved these maths lessons and it really helped embed the foundations of multiplication. Using the story as a hook allows children to learn about multiplication in a fun and creative way. I really hope you enjoy this resource. Please leave a review :) Thank you, Miss E x

KS2 Introducing Division By Sharing

This resource is a really fun and interactive way of introducing division using arrays- perfect for year 3/4. It is based on the book ‘The Doorbell Rang’ by Pat Hutchins and explores sharing cookies between increasing amounts of children. My year 3’s loves using cookie cereal to bring the book to life and solve the problems explored in the book! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did :) Miss E
