Family Law Unit 4 BTEC Applied Law- Introduction Lesson & Activities

(0)
These resources are for the BTEC National Applied Law course (Pearson 2017 specification). *The lesson materials cover: Unit 4 Family Law: An Introduction * These resources contain a lesson power point along with activities and homework to prepare students for the whole unit of learning. The activities are designed to get students talking about the wider aspects of law. Before, teaching the specific assessment lessons, I wanted my students to have a general introduction lesson which introduced them to family law without the restrictions of assessment criteria. This worked really well as students then took a more thoughtful approach to learning and understanding the subject content when it came to later tasks. I hope these help.

These resources are aimed at A Level Law students covering the second stage of Tort Law (Negligence). Here they look at breach of duty and the lesson takes students through the different elements required for breach. It also examines the idea of the “reasonable man” with relevant case law to support. I have also included some case study test examples so that students can apply their learning at the end of the lesson.

History-Ancient Egypt-Project Booklet- (End of term/end of topic fun activity booklet) Ages-10-12

I have designed an easily printable project booklet on Ancient Egypt. Print this out and staple together for an easy end of term/end of topic project that your students can have lots of fun doing! No teaching required (all the information is self-contained within the booklet so students can find the answers themselves)! Therefore, this would be an ideal lesson if you needed to leave cover work or indeed if you are simply out of teaching energy (end of term can be tough!). Target Students: Key Stage 2 or 3 (I used it for my Y7s) (ages 10-12 yrs). It contains: missing word activities, SPAG exercises, fun facts, comprehension questions and 'draw your own' pages. My students loved it as they took it home to show parents what they had been learning about!

The exam questions can all be found on the exam board web-site but I have included one on here for free as it fits with the lesson and help structure. I have also included a quick reference sheet which can be found on the gov. website but again I have included on here for ease. Hope this helps.

I do a quick and fun “sample activity” at the end to give students an insight into the course. I have found this useful -rather than explaining to each person what Criminology is. Hope this helps!
