Persuasive letter writing example

I couldn't find a text on line which provided the example of what I was looking for in a model persuasive letter. So I wrote one (and wish that i had done earlier as it was quicker) This is a letter to the head teacher which tries to persuade them to get rid of school uniform. It can be used as a model text to look at with the children to identify features and language. It could be used a starting letter to be up-leveled and improved We used it as the 'Imitate' text at the beginning of a T4W cycle Hope you find it useful and it saves you some time.

A simple table to record behaviour incidents for your class/ school We used it to track behaviour in our phases for the children that were sent to us (SLT) and the BeCo would review it weekly to find patterns and deal with any recurrent problems A fresh one would be used every half term

This is a for and against argument list for the wearing of school uniform. We were doing this as part of our T4W unit on persuasive writing. (You can also access a persuasive letter example for free in my resources) I asked the children in my class to list the pros and cons in relation to school uniform to support their persuasive letter. I got this ready to supplement any ideas they may have missed

Year 6. Writing interim assessmnet framework. Guidance/translation of the staements. KS2

After sitting down with my year 6 team to use the interim assessment framework to assess the children's writing, we discovered 2 things. 1) It was going to be a lot of work 2) Some of the statements were a little vague and we had to keep referencing the national curriculum to check - which took more time So, I made this 'crib' sheet, which hopefully makes the writing statements a little clearer and all on 1 sheet (per level) so staff do not have to keep looking forwards and backwards between 2 documents. hopefully you will find it useful too!

A piece of writing which describes a beast coming to devour children in school. It uses several types of figurative language and can be used to show children how to incorporate these into their writing.

This template is for Senior leaders It is a simple excel document which you can use to track teaching over time (using inadequate/ requires improvement/ good/ outstanding - or adapt with own words). I used it to amalgamate judgements over all areas to get a broad idea of where a teacher was overall and then to track progress.

This is intended to be used by Senior Leaders. I used this form to track professional development and support given to staff across the year. It is a good way to condense all the info from learning walks/ book scrutinise and any other monitoring and see it altogether on 1 form.

EAL steps target cards

These target cards are designed for use along side the NASSEA step system (1-7) Each target card covers a range of English areas (speaking, listening and understanding, reading and writing) The idea is that, after initial assessment to find out which step the child is currently on, they can be given the next step up to aim for. It guides the child, staff and parents in knowing what they next need to do in order to progress.

Pre test Interim assessment framework tick sheets for KS1 and KS2

For this year's SATS tests, the teacher assessments for both years 2 and 6 need to be done using the government produced interim assessment framework. If children are working below the level of the test (but are not SEND) their assessments will be done using the pre key stage interim assessments. In this resource, I have taken the statements from each of the Key stages and made them into a table, enabling teachers to record whether or not the children meet the standards on them. The form can be used to simply tick. Or teachers could use it to put dates on and reference where the evidence for this statement can be found. I did this as there seem to be plenty of tables for the interim assessments but not for the pre test statements. I hope you find it useful
