I’ve uploaded my week 1 - 3 planning for Y3 Block 1 Place Value (that matches the updated White Rose Maths planning).
Hopefully it will save somebody else some time! The starter activities referred to I’ve uploaded separately (they’re on a power point). https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/mental-starters-11805783 (free)
The other activities should be pretty self explanatory in reference to the White Rose planning (I haven’t included the resources and some were hand made and not digital, but see the examples given in the White Rose).
I've made a PPT of the key 20 number facts (number sentences) that bridge 10. I use this to model on ten frames how to recombine to make 10.
I've added animations to show the transition and movement of the coins.
e.g. 8 + 7
10 + 5
= 15
Hopefully you find it useful!
3 weeks of planning for the new White Rose planning structure. (Doesn’t include resources as I haven’t made them yet)
update 12/12/17, resources can be found here
https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resources-to-match-white-rose-year-3-block-3-multiplication-and-division-12011420
and starter activities for the whole half term here - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/mental-starters-11805783
Planning is for all 3 weeks of the Multiplication and Division block 3 (Autumn 2) for Year 3.
You’ll find BLOCK 3 here -

I’ve uploaded my week 1 - 5 planning for Y3 Block 2 Addition and subtraction (that matches the updated White Rose Maths planning). This is my own personal planning - not made specifically for TES, so more useful to inform your own planning or give ideas.
Hopefully it will save somebody else some time! The starter activities referred to I’ve uploaded separately (they’re on a power point).
I haven’t included the resources and some were hand made and not digital, but see the examples given in the White Rose.
I’ve uploaded 3 weeks multiplication and division Spring block.
Hopefully it will save somebody else some time! The starter activities referred to I’ve uploaded separately (they’re on a power point).
I’ve also uploaded the resources (by request only, not made for TES, this is what I have digitally) & WALTs ready to be printed separately to match this planning. I’ve also included a variety of mini maths sessions (57 separate activities) based on the NFR Y3 Autumn assessment papers. - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resources-white-rose-year-3-spring-block-1-multiplication-and-division-11801189
All 4 weeks combined + resources used (white rose and any other) and PPT of WR resources (so all can see on the board)
My own personal planning so there will be spelling errors etc, I’ll be using it myself in the coming weeks.
Each addition or subtraction fact will match one of 3 options. Can you use your fingers, a number-line or a 100 square to work out the answer, then match a peg to the correct answer?
green - to 10 (fingers)
blue - to 20 (number line)
red - to 100 ((100 square) - adding/subtracting 1 digit numbers
yellow - to 100 (100 square) - adding subtracting 2 digit numbers
I've turned the Year 3 White Rose - Mastery & Greater Depth into a PPT
I also created a word doc with them on to easily print (multiple on each page) - 64 pages
The free materials are available here - https://www.ncetm.org.uk/public/files/23305581/Mastery_Assessment_Y3_Low_Res.pdf
Includes Autumn 1 + Autumn 2 + Spring 1 PPT (daily slides/activities)
yearly coverage overview document (work in progress doc)
*updated 27th Oct to include Autumn 2 and Spring 1 as well. Will continue to add as the year goes on.
Using within my class to build fluency within 20.
Includes all key facts within 20; 240 of them.
The PPT animations slowly reveal the answers to self assess
gives an example of a bar model/associated facts

I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Place Value’ Autumn Block 1 planning, including resources I’ve used from the White Rose (turned into an easily printable format) and any additional ones I’ve made to myself to supplement/visual ways to model or teach. This is week 3 of 4.

Week 4 - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/new-white-rose-planning-year-4-autumn-block-1-place-value-week-4-of-4-11946523
This is my own personal planning which I’ll be using in my class in a couple of weeks. Hope you find it useful, it’s not made specifically for TES so there will most likely we some spelling errors etc
The warm ups 1-4 that are included in this planning don’t relate at all to the White Rose topic and is something I’m trialling personally - spending 1/3 of the lesson re-capping and revisiting prior learning. And since it’s my personal planning it’s mentioned on here as I didn’t want to have to delete it all just to upload. If you want to include them in your lesson as well then they’re all uploaded separately elsewhere.
Warm up 1 - Write today’s date with Roman numerals (no resource)
Warm up 2 - Fluency PPT adding within 20 ( https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/240-addition-and-subtraction-facts-within-20-ppt-resource-self-assessed-11899007)
Warm up 3 - always the ‘closing the gap’ PPT where over the year they revisit key ideas from the Y1-Y3 curriculum (Autumn 1 - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/year-4-autumn-1-maths-closing-the-gap-ppt-revisiting-y1-y2-y3-objectives-daily-11942385)
Warm up 4 - re-visting something I know they also need to work on as a class (I tend to do this on the spot/with whatever resources are already in my classroom/sometimes explained in more detail on the planning)
I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Addition and Subtraction’ Autumn Block 2 planning, including resources I’ve used from the White Rose (turned into an easily printable format and visual PPT to share) and any additional ones I’ve made to myself, or found, to supplement/visual ways to model or teach. Green (easiest), Blue, Red, Yellow (hardest). I have these laminated and cut up and in different colour number sentence boxes. A really handy resource to throw out for an extension or independent activity,
