An Inspector Calls - Scheme of Work

This is a ready-to-teach GCSE scheme of work for An Inspector Calls, with 19 high quality lessons. It was designed with the AQA specification in mind but would take minimal adaptation to fit other specifications. This SOW makes use of a variety of pedagogical techniques, appropriately differentiated to enable all learners to succeed. The lessons include but are not limited to: using talk targets for student discussions; explicitly teaching challenging vocabulary and embedding it into the lesson; purposeful specific pause points throughout reading with questions to guide annotations; quotation recall embedded throughout; and a variety of question options to enable students to challenge themselves in their writing. Attached is a Word Document that includes Images, titles, and quotes to create a display for the following AQA GCSE Literature texts: Macbeth An Inspector Calls Jekyll and Hyde Power and Conflict Poetry I use this resource in my classroom to better enable my GCSE students to memorise and use quotations in their writing. Tip: To make the display more long lasting I highly recommend cutting everything out and laminating it.
