An Inspector Calls - Scheme of Work

This is a ready-to-teach GCSE scheme of work for An Inspector Calls, with 19 high quality lessons. It was designed with the AQA specification in mind but would take minimal adaptation to fit other specifications. This SOW makes use of a variety of pedagogical techniques, appropriately differentiated to enable all learners to succeed. The lessons include but are not limited to: using talk targets for student discussions; explicitly teaching challenging vocabulary and embedding it into the lesson; purposeful specific pause points throughout reading with questions to guide annotations; quotation recall embedded throughout; and a variety of question options to enable students to challenge themselves in their writing.
