'Treasure Island' Coordindates & shape properties

Give each student a copy of the the Treasure Quest document, containing a set of 8 treasure quest coordinate questions the pupils have to solve. Also give them a copy of the island map, the treasure map document. Display the excel application via an interactive white board. If a student has solve treasure quest 3, say, they come to the board select the appropriate work sheet, enter the coordinate and either the treasure will appear on the map at their coordinate, or they will receive a message telling them to try again.

1. The first document is a word document with isometric paper. The grid in word has been adjusted in such a way as to allow lines and shapes to be snapped to the corners of the isometric paper. So you can effectively draw isometrically accurately in word. 2. The first page of the second document describes a tessellation problem and the second page shows the solution. 3. The first page of the third document describes another tesselation problem and the second page shows the solution.
