I’m an experienced Head of Sixth Form and Head of Social Sciences, with over 10 years of classroom teaching in A-Level Sociology, Psychology and Criminology. My practice is rooted in a passion for high-quality teaching and learning, with a particular focus on retrieval practice, checking for understanding, purposeful practice, challenge, and high-level questioning all carefully embedded into my lessons. I believe strongly in desirable difficulty and design my A-Level resources to stretch students’ thinking, deepen conceptual understanding, and prepare them for academic success and independent thought. Every resource has been tried and tested in real classrooms and is shaped by what actually works to help students thrive.
