Real life applications and suggestion for practicals. Balloons with polyester jumpers = attracts fine hair Balloon rubbed with jumper or silk cloth will attract small pieces of tissues paper The balloon will also 'magically' attract/repel an aluminium drinks can on it's side Use the charged balloon to bend a thin light stream of water from a tap. There is a video of lightning occurring outside my house which you can take out if you wish.
