These Food Chain Puzzles can be used to practice making food chains with organisms in a garden habitat. This is a Spring themed Food Chain puzzle. The cards are perfect for group work and stations. Each puzzle card has an organism name and picture on it. Each of the first five pages has three puzzles and each of these puzzles has a producer (plant or plant part), a primary consumer, and a secondary consumer. The sixth page has more consumer organisms that can be spliced in to make longer food chains. Food Chains and Food Webs illustrated definition cards are a handy reference for your students to memorize all of the terms associated with Food Chains and Food Webs. Each card is color coded in green, red and brown to match the theme of the words used. The green cards have pictures and definitions for the words producer, herbivore and photosynthesis. The red cards are presented in the same way but are for words such as carnivore, consumer, predator, prey, etc. There are also brown cards for organism, omnivore, decomposer, scavenger, micro-organism and fungus. The rest of the cards are mostly non-living things like habitat, energy, food chain and food web.
