Mystery Writing - Upper KS2/KS3 - Includes Videos

(0)
A superb resource for encouraging students to write in the mystery/spooky genre, with the emphasis on discussion, recording, redrafting and improving their work. This resource is more concerned with 'mystery' in its wider sense, not just that of the traditional 'Whodunnit' but more about more mysterious things that might be around us in everyday life. Included are three quality activities with story-starters, two resource sheets and two high-quality videos (approx 3 mins long). Both have the same images and original, atmospheric soundtrack which will be guaranteed to stimulate discussion. The second video has added annotations to encourage those students who are finding it difficult to engage. The videos create a wonderful whole-class introduction - close the curtains, turn up the sound on the IWB and sit back - your students will respond! If you have any questions or would like something specific creating, please get in touch!
