The Shoe Challenge - Warmer for Physical Education lesson or Sports day

(1)
A fun PE warmer using shoes and including everyone! This warmer activity is widely used in summer camps across Europe but after covering PE lessons in normal primary and secondary it works very well as a whole group activity whereby everyone can take part. This activity is also useful for a warmer to any Physical Education lesson, every student can take part. It is also very good to use in sports day, students can all take part in an atmosphere where there are mixed abilities, for example it could be used with year groups and form classes and form tutors can take part too. With regards to differentiation the teams will be mixed up into different abilities so stronger learners from separate teams will aid weaker learners; the groups are all mixed ability. It allows learners to achieve the outcome of taking part in outdoor and adventurous activity challenging both individually and within a team and also to compare their performances with previous ones and demonstrate improvement.

Amazing spelling game with letters for any age

(0)
This game is excellent for any age to improve listening and spelling. There are a sheet of letters which need to be copied and laminated each student will receive about 55 letters and work in a group or with another person. The teacher calls out the word and the students have to spell the word using the letters on their desk then call out if they are first t finish. It is so competitive and mostly used in English/EAL and ESL but can be used even as a warmer to review key words in any subject. There are some recommended words form easy to hard but of course the list is endless. All students enjoy this because it is hands on and interactive.
