Primary school art worksheet to use at the end of a lesson as children start to finish their work. We refer to it as Free Draw, but it still provides guidance and structure whilst allowing the children to use their imagination.
Pupils fill in the circles with detailed drawings of items that are circular in shape, e.g. pizza, dough nut, eyeball, apple, etc. Sheets can be stuck into pupils sketch books and added to at each session as time allows.
The task is fun but encourages observation, lateral thinking and drawing skills. Suitable for all levels of ability.
Also useful in a unit on 2D shapes.

This resource provides a unit of work for Design Technology. It combines Design, Art and Technology to enable students to produce a greeting card with moving parts for a chosen celebration.

This resource aims to present Pattern, as an element of art, to a primary school audience.
Consisting of an updated PowerPoint presentation featuring many pictorial examples and opportunities for class discussion and participation, including a ‘guess the close up’ activity for natural patterns. There is then a worksheet to complete to demonstrate the pattern knowledge which has been gained.
It can be used as a stand alone lesson or part of a program of study, e.g. designing Roman mosaics.

This resource features a line drawn cross section of a generic coral reef. Students can add the characteristics of each zone using the labels included, or add their own words. They can also attach the selection of line drawn reef animals to the correct zones on the worksheet.
The elements included can be used to provide a variety of activities and outcomes within the classroom, depending on the teachers aims for the session and the students’ abilities. Helpful suggestions are included in the resource.

This resource features a model/worksheet showing the Earth in cross section, overlaid with examples of plate boundaries. The activity aims to provide a visual example to help students understand the zones within the Earth and to be able to place tectonic processes in relation to these.
The model involves an A4 base sheet to which sections are attached using a split pin to show the types of plate boundary that can be found.
2 versions, and a set of instructions are included.
Blank version (including instructions). This features only the drawings for the model leaving the freedom for students to complete the labelling and add further information in line with your own lesson content, e.g. thickness or composition of zones within the Earth.
Labelled version. This can be used as an activity in it’s own right where students are not required to record information, or as an example of possible labelling.
I have intended it to be a resource that is not prescriptive in its content and can be adapted to allow students to record their knowledge and understanding of the subject as they have been taught it.
Various pieces of the model can be selected for use to fit in with the teaching content and objectives of the lesson, or added on over subsequent lessons as the subject knowledge is developed.
