Many are familiar with this game, however, in this case it's a writing activity. Students are to describe in detailed writing a noun that they pull from a bag. Once students have written, they present their writing to their classmates. Their peers are given an opportunity to guess the noun that the student has described. I often times use task cards as a reader's response entry when introducing a new topic! A way in which I assess these task card entries is through this Task Card Rubric and Student Checklist. My students know the requirements of reader's response entries. They are asked to use the student checklist before turning in their work to ensure they took the right steps!
