This class is designed to allow students to practice manipulating decimal numbers with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Place accessories around the room for the students to choose for the scariest witch in the world. They calculate how much it will cost (addition) and do a quick estimation to see if they are probably right. Then, they move onto the subsequent steps which involve recalculating due to a lack of money (subtraction), getting a 15% discount, followed by 15% tax (multiplying by decimals), and sharing the bill with some friends (division). Finally, they draw their witch using only the items they bought and try to explain why theirs is the scariest of them all.
