Macbeth Structure - developing ideas, attitudes and feelings
Be able to track the structure of the play with easy visuals of Shakespeare’s ideas. Identification of where each idea appears in the play (Acts, scenes and lines noting where they appear in the play).
Romeo & Juliet Prologue Analysis
Whole lesson resource that explores the Prologue as either a starting point for the study of the play or as a revision task for GCSE students. Focuses on the relevant assessment objectives for GCSE English Literature and allows differentiation to take place in terms of the depth of analysis of the play. Also provides a sample assessment question and a modelled opening for how to respond.
English Language Fiction: Reading & Writing
A sequence of English Language Paper 1 reading activities based around an extract from Of Mice and Men. The focus of the tasks will be to consider the portrayal of women in society, with tasks set to test AO1, AO2 and AO4 skills. The opportunity is provided for an extended task to be included to test writing skills, using the reading activities to influence content.
