This is a game of concentration for all grades. It contains cards with multiplication facts and products for tables 2 to 12. Students are to select a set of cards/multiplication tables of similar color of their choice. For example, all the 2 times multiplication facts are the same color. These cards are placed faced down. On each turn a player turns over two cards, one after the other. If the cards match they keep them. If they do not match then the cards are placed back on the table top, face down and the next player takes his turn. The goal of the game is to have the most number of cards at the end. Counting back and counting up are mental strategies that are used to subtract numbers that are close together. These mental strategies help students find the difference between numbers by counting up (on their fingers) from the smaller number to the larger number to keep track of the numbers or counting back from the larger number to larger number.
