This is a game of concentration for all grades. It contains cards with multiplication facts and products for tables 2 to 12. Students are to select a set of cards/multiplication tables of similar color of their choice. For example, all the 2 times multiplication facts are the same color. These cards are placed faced down. On each turn a player turns over two cards, one after the other. If the cards match they keep them. If they do not match then the cards are placed back on the table top, face down and the next player takes his turn. The goal of the game is to have the most number of cards at the end. Place Value: Lending a Helpful Hand- A Place Value Story for Kids: Here is an original story that explains the place value concept of ones, tens and hundreds using three characters. The story describes the 'carrying over' principle in a simple storyline with bright graphics. I also included a place value mat which uses the same characters from the story. The mat can be used to introduce the concept until your kids are able to explain the process clearly. I suggest that you use craft sticks as counters initially so that your students can role play the events of the story. Nicole

Fractions Fractions is a fun filled activity for your students to get the hang of the identification of fractions. Your kiddos would find it very easy to name fractions after this fun set of task cards. All they have to do is determine how much of the food is eaten then record them on the cards. Counting back and counting up are mental strategies that are used to subtract numbers that are close together. These mental strategies help students find the difference between numbers by counting up (on their fingers) from the smaller number to the larger number to keep track of the numbers or counting back from the larger number to larger number. The answer is the number of counts. Numbers 1-1000: Numbers 1-1000: This is a wonderful activity to help your kids develop the concept of a thousand. Your students will work on writing all the numbers from 1 to 1000 at their own pace. You can work with the class daily monitoring their progress at intervals. In the end they get to keep this mini book to refer to numbers during their independent or group exercise or number review. Simply cut the pages along the perforated lines and build incrementally, one mini page at a time, or assembly at once. Ordinal Numbers This is a set of 10 posters to help reinforce the concept of ordinal numbers. These bright and colorful posters are perfect for any classroom and they can be used as flashcards if you wish.
