The four basic operations consist of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. These teaching resources contains a presentation explaining the basic operation with animated examples, an excel spreadsheet with randomly generated questions and automated marking that could be used as a lesson starter, and question and answer sheets with over 200 questions. The Four Basic Operations - Random Questions.xlsm An excel spreadsheet (with macros) that randomly generates a question using one of the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division) and will show a smiley face or an unhappy face if the answer is correct or incorrect. This could be used as a starter for a lesson, or as a quick activity/refresher. The Four Basic Operations - Question Sheets.docx A word document containing questions and answer boxes, one page for each operation. This contains over 200 questions. A gentle introduction to code. What is code, what is it used for, what are programming languages, what are bugs? A powerpoint/slideshow going through the basics of what code is and what it’s purpose and usages. There is also a worksheet (with answers) included that is based on the information from the powerpoint.

This tool allows you to generate random fraction based questions in different categories: simplification, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This questions can either be answered and marked automatically within the application (with all the workings out) or you download the questions and answers into worksheets that can be given to the students. This application is created using web technologies, which means in opens within a browser. All the files included in this package must be kept together, otherwise the application will not work correctly. To open the application simply double click on the ‘index.html’ file or right click it and open it within a browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc). To download the question and answer sheets simply generate the desired questions and print the web page (CTRL+P) and choose ‘save as pdf’. This will be the question sheet. Then press the ‘mark answers’ buttons and download a pdf again (CTRL+P and choose ‘save as pdf’) this will be the answer sheet. All the buttons and tick/cross will be removed when printing.

A presentation explaining what the Caesar Cipher is, as well as definitions for encryptions and cryptography, and an activity to create cipher dials and encoded messages. Also, a word search with encrypted answers - so the children have to first decrypt the words then find them in the word search. This would work great as a small activity or in addition to a unit of work. It offers a way to add a fun activity to get children engaged in what could be an otherwise boring subject. This pack contains a solar system interactive app that allows you to explore the galaxy and learn about all the planets, Pluto, the Sun, the Moon, the Mars Rover, and more. This pack also contains a couple of small activities, a maze and word scrambles. It also includes a worksheet. These all include the questions and answers sheet to make the marking easier. There is also a quiz application which contains 55 questions. These questions are shown in a random order, so it can be different each time you run it. This gives you a bunch of information and fun activities to help teach and learn about the planets and our solar system.
