Year 1 - Year 6 Right Every Time (Common Exception Words) Spelling Mat (Writing Assessment/ Moderation) This can be used as a ‘on the table’ dictionary spellling mat with commonly misspelt words on. It could also work as an editing resource when it comes to an edit/ redraft day. Experience has shown children really like having this mat to check spellings and for them to all be in one, accessible place. All KS1 words are included as well as some common misspelt words. All Y3/Y4 National Curriculum common exception words are included (shaded in green) as well as all the Y5/ Y6 common exception words (shaded in blue). There are also maths words, numbers and adverbials & conjunctions on the back for those common words that are often spelt wrongly.
