An innovative and creative teacher, with a passion for driving artistic progress while using current trends to meet core learning objectives. Sheryl has taught on 3 continents and has a great knowledge of folk music from China, South Africa, UK and UAE. She is a friendly teacher who creates easy achievement targets in the classroom. Students are encouraged to use games and innovative technology in music lessons which fosters engagement and results in daily progress. Sheryl achieves excellent exam results, and puts on successful choir performances and year end shows . She promotes student enrollment and retention through targeted school ad campaigns and regular concert performances. Sheryl is an active member of the Symphony Choir of Cape Town, Rondebosch Writers Club and the Trails Club of South Africa. Published tutors include: Fun with Recorder, Melody's Piano Adventure Series book 1 and 2, and A Word, a Note, a Brush.
