Extracts from the SAMs from AQA with the mark scheme to help staff and pupils understand the new success criteria for AQA Spanish GCSE, first teaching Sep 2016.

A prompt sheet to help more able pupils work independently to produce texts up to A* GCSE. For lower levels check out my Spanish Literacy Mat.

Presentation, exemplar texts and worksheet. Useful as a controlled assessment speaking or writing exam preparation activity, and also for reading comprehension practice. Designed for persistent D graders, who could work at a C, but just cannot make the connection. Extensive presentation with notes and suggestions of how to deliver. For candidates aiming for all grades from C upwards, as you can get them to consider how to enhance the texts /improve the grade. This could cover at least 3 lessons, possible more, as it build pupils up through basic to more complex opinions, with a review of how to use verbs (in the present tense) along the way. Designed for my bordering D/C pupils.

This is a resource designed to be used independently, for revision, or in a class setting. It is ideal for extended cover or to set a revision / exam preparation resource. Though I have labelled it AQA, it is not specific to an exam board. However, I have included specific references to AQA and Edexcel (i.e. their themes and topics) and so can be edited to be exam board specific. It starts at target grade 1 and build to target grade 7 and so can be edited or kept the way I have designed it for crossover / boderline students or students who are currently at foundation level but are capable of higher - I have designed it for my own students in this situation. This makes it suitable for a mixed ability class also.

Designed for last-minute re-sits, where pupils must work quickly and independently. Contains sentence starters and vocabulary to build a piece up to A grade.
