Hi, I'm a secondary science teacher from a comprehensive school in Cornwall. Just selling and sharing on resources which I've put my time into that have proven successful with students. As my school runs AQA GCSE Combined Science for GCSE and OCR Physics A for A Level, these are the specifications my resources are aimed at. I am hopeful of tailoring them to other exam boards in the future though.

AQA GCSE Science: Physics Equation Practice

(1)
A set of 38 questions based on the equations in the AQA GCSE Combined specification that students need to recall and apply. The first 19 questions introduce each equation needed and the next 19 repeat the questions with new values for practice. This set of questions will also test student’s mastery of units, prefixes and standard form. Answers included.

AQA GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy - Paper 1 Key Questions

(2)
Useful for student revision for AQA GCSE Combined Science Trilogy papers. These are assessment objective 1 based questions designed to test the students’ ability to recall the key information from the specification for the Physics, Chemistry and Biology Paper 1s. At the end of each set of questions is also a set of questions covering the key points to recall for the required practical acitivities relevant to the topics, as well as some basic math skills checks. Excellent for supporting lower ability candidates to build a solid foundation in their subject knowledge before building in the higher order explanation and analysis skills needed for AO2 and AO3.

Required Practicals Summary Sheets - AQA GCSE Combined Science - Trilogy Paper 1s

(0)
A set of summary sheets for the required practicals specified in the Biology, Chemistry and Physics paper 1 exams for AQA GCSE combined science trilogy. The sheets match the required practicals to the relevant papers and encourage students to review the theory, variables, methods, results, analysis and conclusions covered by each. Also provided is an exemplar sheet, showing the kind of information that could be included for each required practical. This can be used to support weaker students or as a starting point for more able students to add further detail to.

AQA GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy AO1 & AO2 Questions Complete Set

6 Resources
Collection of assessment objective 1 and assessment objective 2 questions covering the entire AQA GCSE Combined Science specfication for the Trilogy pathway. The questions are broken down by paper (i.e. Biology paper 1 & paper 2 etc.) At the end of each set of assessment objective 1 questions is also a set of questions covering the key points to recall for the required practical acitivities relevant to the topics, as well as some basic math skills checks. Excellent for supporting lower ability candidates to build a solid foundation in their subject knowledge before building in the higher order explanation and analysis skills needed for AO2 and AO3. Once students can demonstrate their recall by comfortably answering the assessment objective 1 questions, they can develop their explanation skills with the assessment objective 2 questions.
Extended Writing in A Level Physics

Extended Writing in A Level Physics

(0)
This is a bundle of 2 extended writing questions covering Ionising radiation and Thermodynamics. Included are blank assessment booklets for the students to complete (I usually run these as timed essays) as well as exemplar answers for discussion afterwards and for students to compare their own answers with. This has proven a really useful way to get my students to reflect on their use of language in their written communication - a skill that is often overlooked in physics.
GCSE Science Data & Graphs Lesson

GCSE Science Data & Graphs Lesson

(0)
A single slide power point lesson outline to guide students through the activities on the sheet. The aim of the lesson is to practice the students’ data and graph skills, developing mathematical techniques and working scientifically skills. Plenty of opportunity within the lesson to develop understanding using questioning. Could be used as a revision lesson or as a re-introduction to graphs, variables, means etc.

AQA GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy - Paper 2 Key Questions

(3)
Useful for student revision for AQA GCSE Combined Science Trilogy papers. These are assessment objective 1 based questions designed to test the students’ ability to recall the key information from the specification for the Physics, Chemistry and Biology Paper 2s.

OCR Physics A H156 Forces & Motion Questions

(0)
A bundle of 3 sets of questions best suited to revision of the OCR Physics A H156 Module 3 - Forces & Motion. The question sets are designed in the following way: A set of questions aimed more at the Depth paper style, covering multiple ideas in one context. A set of questions that are deliberately wordy and take some deciphering, to encourage students’ reading comprehension. A set of questions to act as a summary of content to be recalled, more akin to the Breadth paper.
OCR Physics A H156 Quantum Physics CLOZE Tasks

OCR Physics A H156 Quantum Physics CLOZE Tasks

(0)
These tasks are designed to improve students’ written communication of complex ideas in the quantum physics topic of AS physics. Covering the more conceptual photoelectric effect and the more practical based experiment to determine Planck’s constant using LEDs, they use the CLOZE passage format to provide structure for students who struggle with written expression.
OCR Physics A H556 Unified Physics Questions
andrewdavis296andrewdavis296

OCR Physics A H556 Unified Physics Questions

(1)
Questions around the ‘failed’ Apollo 13 mission that cover topics ranging from simple harmonic motion to gravitation to thermal physics and gas laws. These questions are designed to prepare students for the unified physics exam, where they will need a broad knowledge of the entire specification in order to succeed.
