Reading Teacher

I have been a teaching assistant since 2012 and previous to this I worked as a nursery school assistant. I have worked with special needs children on a 1:1 basis and as a general classroom assistant. I will start with phonics resources but if anyone is looking for anything in particular please let me know and I will do my best to help.

Adverb Learning Grid

This is a versatile learning grid that I have created. The idea is that using the co-ordinates learners have a certain adverb that they need to use. This can be in a spoken or written sentence. The co-ordinates can be chosen by the roll of a dice, picking numbers out of a bag or pupil choice. A fun way to keep them engaged whilst making good use of adverbs. There are a couple of squares where students can choose their own adverb for added stretch and challenge. The grid can be displayed on a whiteboard or printed. Learners could work individually, in pairs or groups.
