The New Grade 9-1 Framework for GCSE RS began this term. The Assessment Framework supports grade boundaries and the statement of attainment concerning each grade from 9-1. This is still in its infancy but the move away from levels has caused confusion and resulted in numerous systems. I hope and trust this is helpful. This was mainly developed to bridge the Key Stage 3 move away from levels and make it representative of GCSE 9-1.

Hi all. Please see my key words glossary for Unit 1 AQA Sociology covering every key word from the specification in pupil friendly language. You can use this for revision, planning and interventions. I think it could be really helpful as the subject can be very wordy and pupils can lose confidence. This will help pupils quickly understand the key words and how to apply them. A one page document that covers the theories of sociology across the 6 topics of studying society, family, education, crime, media and inequality. The document offers summary statements that can allow pupils to develop further arguments and make more links. It worked really well with my Year 11s especially the lower and middle ability pupils who were able to interpret suggest and make statements about the theories in their 5 and 12 mark responses.

Crime, Inequality and Media model responses to 5 mark questions for paper 2. I have answered over 32 questions for 5 marks Using mark schemes, pupil responses and exam report feedback. These questions have come up routinely since 2011 till now. I will continue developing them moving onto 12 mark questions for paper 1 and paper 2. We still have one more year with this spec. hope it helps in the final two weeks. Only 10 questions have been omitted which were similar to questions already answered.

Hi colleagues I have put together responses for every 4 mark question since 2011 in AQA Paper 1 Studying Society. Repeat questions and topics have also not been included. I used recalled AQA scripts, the relevant Mark scheme and teacher marking to write them. Hope it helps

A Tool to support targeting at a range of abilities. Pupils who are low/middle ability can be easily targeted whilst those at the top can also understand the range of marks needed. This is based on the first Year AQA 9-1 Results and cumulative grade boundaries for AQA over time. Colleagues can use it to improve predictions, inform progress and easily support pupils to aspire to higher levels of progress.

I have been teaching this for over a year now and have found that pupils can have difficulty accessing the terminology. So I have developed this Key words list using the AQA Glossaries to cover Topics in Unit 2 crime, media and inequality. Hi colleagues this is for AQA SPEC B Religion and Citizenship Unit 1 Topic 1 Religion and Relationships The revision notes use all the key words and quotes in short paragraphs that support pupil progress in revision and in lessons. Whilst it is for revision, it can be used in lesson planning and teaching and learning. This Unit is relevant to current Year 11s and next years Year 11 as final exams for this unit will take place in Summer 2017 The revision notes cover the main concepts/key words and applies religious quotes and beliefs suitable for full grade range (low to high). Pupils have used them and it has helped support their written answers. This could support OCR, EDEXCEL and WJEC Specs too, but is focussed on meeting AQA Specification B.

Made for the AQA SPEC A, Paper 2 Theme E Crime and Punishment. I had found numerous workbooks online for other themes but needed one on Theme E. So i have put one together using the specification and relevant knowledge. Over thirty pages of information, exam style questions and comprehension. This can be literally printed or uploaded for students to work from. AQA have stated that Theme E Crime and Punishment is a popular choice nationally so this can also be used for other Exam specifications like Edexcel and WJEC and OCR. Hi All, I have undertaken a painstaking examination of every topic that has come up for GCSE AQA Sociology course examinations since 2010. Paper 1 Studying Society, Family and Education. Paper 2 Crime, Media and Social Inequality. It will help target pupils revision by observing the frequency of topics and the typical combinations. It will enable teachers to plan and target learning for pupils based on their Target/Progress 8 Grade. Every Exam paper was looked at and the key topic and related topic tabled. GCSE Grade boundaries for the course Paper 1 and Paper 2 in a simple table (June Series). I want to continue developing targeted appropriate resources that aim to raise progress and support teachers who may not wish to download and print everything on the AQA website so this will help with planning and preparation. Model answers for Islam option in GCSE AQA A Religious Studies. The responses have been written based on the markscheme. Ideal for revision, scaffolding and modelling for pupils not familiar with Islam at GCSE or level of religious content to achieve higher levels of progress.
