These resources were written for AQA Religious Studies, although I'm sure they're pretty transferrable, the end of unit exam is based on AQA GCSE exam questions though.

Three lessons looking at the reasons why businesses grow, how they can grow and what problems can arise if they grow too quickly. Why grow - reasons why businesses should want to grow, the benefits and drawbacks of doing so with a case study and set of questions based around Starbucks. Examples of businesses that have grown from small enterprises to multinationals to begin the lesson. Methods of Expansion - detailed notes and examples of business growth, research activity for learners to find real-life examples of businesses that have grown using the different types of growth. Exam question based on Primark. Stakeholder Conflict - thorough look at how different stakeholder groups are impacted by the growth of a business and how each of these groups can react and influence business' decisions. Group work with a choice of activity based on learner's preferred styles and an exam question to finish - recently observed with this lesson - went very well - lots of activities, will keep you busy for more than one period. All lessons include notes and activities - lessons are engaging, with lots of visual queues and examples learners will be familiar with. All lessons have a set of questions to do as they enter the room based on prior learning. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks Shaun

Lesson 1 - introduction to an Ageing Population - looking at the causes, issues and benefit of a population that is going grey. Case study to look at the actions that France have taken - aimed at a higher ability class - may need some work to differentiate. Two brief exam questions to finish lesson. Lesson 2 - population pyramids - what do they show and how can we use them to make judgements on a nation and its development? Data included to discuss and draw pyramids for both the UK and Gambia. Lesson is sequenced after learners have an understanding of GDP, HDI, Gini, literacy rate, birth rate etc. Homework - how does migration impact on a nation's population? Introduction to Push / Pull factors. Both lessons revolve around a key question.
