Adapted Novels are a great resources for LIFE Skills, Fundamentals, Adapted Behavior or Autism Units- These Hi-Lo Readers are the best kind of resource- a complete unit you can download and start teaching with today! The materials included in this unit are: 1. Adapted Novel. The adapted novel is 5 chapters long and includes a short chapter about the author. Each chapter has a repeated line main idea at the bottom of the page and the book includes a table of contents, characters page, and settings page. 2. Communication Boards. The communication boards accompany each chapter including functional and academic words to meet the needs of most students in a special education class. There are three versions of the communication boards: one with words and pictures, one with words only, and one with pictures only. This unit contains 18 communication boards in all. 3. Comprehension Questions. With 10 picture supported comprehension questions for each chapter totalling 60 questions in all, this has more than you need to assess learning!
