I have been teaching Biology for 20 years and I have struggled to find concise and engaging resources for teaching Biology, which is why I have set about creating my own.
I hope that my resources are enjoyed by your pupils and of course support their learning of such an interesting and great subject.

Brighten up your classroom whilst learning about Science. These two colour posters are aimed at Year 4 pupils learning about animals, including humans.
The posters focus on the structure of the digestive system and the different types of teeth we have.
The posters are provided in both an A4 and A3 format for printing.
A comprehensive collection of Science worksheets focusing on the 'Animals, including humans' topic for Year 4 pupils.
The worksheets are designed to be visually appealing for primary school children and can be coloured in too.
The worksheets also encourage independent learning as the pupils can work them following the clear instructions given.
Worksheets are useful when learning about the topic, revising the topic and/or assessing your pupils' knowledge and understanding of the topic.
The worksheets are useful to project on the board too as you teach the topic and can be filled in using a smart board if desired.
The worksheet pack covers the following topics:
1.) The structure and function of the digestive system
2.) The name and function of Human teeth
3.) The differences between carnivore and herbivore teeth- this sheet would be good for more able students and could be used to show differentiation in the classroom
4.) Food chains and the terms given to the organisms at different levels of the food chain
All worksheets come with a completed answer sheet, very useful for the non-specialist teaching Science.
A poster pack covering the stages of both mitosis and meiosis, with diagrams and detailed explanations of what is happening at each stage. Ideal for A level Biology students.
The posters are great for display around the classroom or to give to the students for revision.
All posters have been provided in a choice of black and white or colour.
Students may wish to label the diagrams with the names of the different structures, detailed in the accompanying explanation of each stage.
Both posters have been provided in both an A3 and A4 format to allow for printing in either size. I would advise to print on A3 if possible for the meiosis poster, as it keeps all the stages of meiosis on one sheet and makes it easier for the student to compare the two different stages of meiosis.
This is an all inclusive worksheet pack on the well-known osmosis and potato chip investigation. In reality this practical does not always generate the expected results due to sources of error and time constraints to set up, hence why I have put this investigation pack together.
All answers are provided for the teacher.
The pack contains the following:
Worksheet 1 introduces the set up of the investigation and pupils need to come up with a hypothesis. Pupils are given results and are asked to calculate change in mass and percentage change in mass.
Three versions of the graph paper are provided, each with a different level of support, as many pupils will find drawing the graph with a negative y axis challenging.
Worksheet 3 focuses on identifying the different variables and drawing a conclusion from the results.
Worksheet 4 focuses on sources of error and how to improve the practical to reduce these, so focuses more on developing pupils’ evaluative skills. There are also extension questions on osmosis and its effect on cells, for those students who may work quicker through the activity.
Visually appealing worksheet bundle for GCSE Biology students on the structure of the heart and lungs. Perfect for use when teaching the topics and also for revision purposes. The worksheets could even be used as a progress test on these topic areas. The worksheets should take approximately 10-15 minutes each to complete and pupils will be able to work independently through the activities.
There is a differentiated heart and lung structure worksheet for students who may benefit from extra support.
There is also answer sheets for the teacher, which is great for non-specialists teaching Biology in schools.
As a suggestion the worksheet could be laminated and pupils could complete the activities with OHP pens. The laminated sheets could then be cleaned for future use with other pupils. Otherwise the worksheet could be laminated after completion by pupils and used for display purposes in the classroom or for revision.

Knowledge organisers have become increasingly popular with both students and teachers alike. Research shows that students find them a much more effective tool to condense their topic notes, in order to learn the content for assessments. Even better is that the notes are laid out on one page, rather than over several pages in a textbook or revision guide.
The knowledge organiser has two versions, a completed version/answer sheet and a worksheet version, which allows pupils to be more active in their learning and complete diagram labelling/sentences/tables etc.
The knowledge organiser covers all of the gas exchange topic (topic 11) on the CIE IGCSE course and features the following subtopics:
Lung structure and function
Gas exchange and the adaptations of the alveoli
The process of ventilation
The effect of exercise on breathing
Make sure you print out on A3 paper
Thanks for looking.
