Saw this knocking about on twitter and created my own template. You can provide it to pupils totally blank and they have to formulate their own questions before playing. Or you can pre-populate it with some or all questions on the chosen topic. I find it works well played in pairs - they roll two dice... answer the question the dice dictate. If they get it right they colour that box in. Different colour for each kid. They like the competitiveness of seeing who has the most coloured in by the end.

Assessment for Learning - Improving Answers

Type into the resources an exam question and a 'not so perfect' model answer. Pupils need to repair the answer by adding in extra detail, ammending mistakes etc. Useful as an assessment for learning tool or a way of building up to some exam practice.

WABOLL - edit & improve model answers

In the READ section of the worksheet, provide a model answer which is an example of What A Bad One Looks Like. Pupils should identify spag errors and poorly written sentences. In the EDIT section pupils should list general (spag) and subject specific things that would improve the answer. In the IMPROVE section pupils re-write the WABOLL to tranform it into a 'good one'. Particularly useful to build confidence and challenge pupils to reach higher marks on extended longer answers questions.
