‘Wonder’ - R J Palacio - Full Scheme of Work for Years 6 or 7 - A whole Term’s Worth of Lessons! This scheme was originally created during remote learning, so was designed for students to complete tasks independently on iPads. I have then added in AfL so that these resources can be used in the classroom. Lessons are fully differentiated. There is no official assessment as this scheme was designed during Remote Learning. However, there are lots of extended writing opportunities and lots that could be adapted into an assessment. There are 40 lessons in total, which cover a range of skills including: *comprehension skills *characterisation *structure and plot development *evidence finding *comparison *writing to describe *writing to advise *etc

Lessons are differentiated with ‘stretch’ tasks. These lessons were created during remote learning and so were designed for students to complete independently on their own iPads. They were designed for a mixed-ability international Year 10 group, who are predominantly EAL. Hence, tasks have been broken down and scaffolded heavily, which offering suitable challenge for more-able students.
