New Spanish GCSE Photo Cards (speaking test)
Three sets of photo cards covering all three themes of the new GCSE course: Identity and culture (40 cards), Local, national, international and global areas of interest (24 cards) and Current and future study and employment ( 26 cards).
Each booklet also includes a student-friendly explanation of the requirements of the new exam and a copy of the mark scheme for the photo card.
Spanish GCSE vocabulary revision booklet
Booklet with key vocabulary for students to revise for their foundation listening and reading Spanish exams. It contains 15 pages of vocabulary in Spanish. Students write the English next to them and colour-code the words: green for the words they knew, yellow or amber for the ones they were not 100% sure, and red for the words they didn't know at all.

Three sets of writing papers, following the new Spanish GCSE specification (AQA).
Each individual set includes two papers (foundation and higher) covering one of the three themes (Identity and culture, Local, regional, international and global areas of interest and Current and future study and employment), as well as an overview of the requirements of the exam and a foundation and a higher "check list" to provide the students with quick, personalised feedback for each question.

New French GCSE - Theme 2 writing exam and feedback sheets
Two practice writing papers (one foundation, one higher) following the format of the new GCSE writing exam, and focusing on the topics covered in Theme 2.
The foundation paper includes four questions (describe the photo, 40 words question, translation and 90 words question) and the higher paper includes three (90 words question, 150 words question and translation).
I have also included two feedback sheets (one foundation, one higher) that include"check-lists" (based on the AQA mark scheme for writing) to provide quick, personalised feedback for each of the questions. The check lists provide the students with feedback on what went well (WWW) and what they need to do to improve further (TIF).

The fourth booklet contains a very comprehensive (118 pages) overview of the main aspects of Spanish grammar that the students are expected to be able to use on their A Level course.
New Spanish A Level: Los movimientos populares: Escrache a Gallardón (Reading)
A reading activity based on the new Spanish A Level, specifically the sub-theme Los movimientos populares. Based on an article from El Mundo, the activity is based on the “escrache” that Gallardón was subjected to as a consequence of his failed attempt to modify the abortion laws in Spain.
New Spanish A-Level - Artistic Culture in the Hispanic World: Fact file (Paper 3 /speaking revision)
This resource contains a lot of factual information about Spanish society, focusing on the three topics that cover the sub-theme Artistic culture in the Hispanic world in the new Spanish A Level course (La influencia de los ídolos, La identidad regional en España and El patrimonio cultural). I wrote this resource to help my students revise for their upcoming speaking exam (Paper 3), specifically to ensure that they include enough information to score well in AO4 of the paper.
The file also includes a detailed overview of the course and of Paper 3.

A set of 26 Photo Cards covering the whole of Theme 3 (Current and future study and employment) of the new GCSE course:

UPDATED: I have modified this resource to better resemble the photo cards on the AQA exam: there are now five foundation and five higher questions on each card (instead of four). At foundation level one of the first three questions (what in the exam would be the printed questions) requires the use of a tense other than the present. At higher level references to three time frames are needed, with one time frame other than the present required in one of the first three questions and the remaining time frame in one of the other two questions.

New Spanish GCSE - Theme 2 role plays (speaking test): Local, regional, global areas of interest
A set of 20 role plays covering theme two of the new Spanish GCSE course (based on the AQA specification).
It includes 10 foundation and 10 higher role plays, on the topics "Home, town, neighbourhood and region" "Social issues" and "Global issues" "Travel and Tourism".
Each role play includes candidate's role and teacher's role, and both the 'tú' and 'usted' forms are used.
The file also includes a student-friendly summary of the specification for the new speaking exam and the mark scheme for the role play.
I have also included a foundation and higher mark scheme feedback sheet to provide students with instant, personalised feedback as they complete mock speaking exams.

A three-page file with a lot actual information about Spanish culture and society, focusing on the topic of Equal Rights, part of the theme Aspects of Hispanic culture of the new Spanish A Level. It provides students with facts and statistics, which should be very helpful in preparation for Paper 3 (the speaking exam).
The information contained in the resource can also be easily adapted and used in a variety of reading and translation activities.

This three-page file includes a lot actual information about Spanish culture and society, focusing on the topic of Spanish regional identity (festivals, gastronomy and regional languages), part of the theme Artistic Culture in the Hispanic World of the new Spanish A Level. It provides students with facts and statistics, which should be very helpful in preparation for Paper 3 (the speaking exam). The information in the file can also be easily adapted to reading or translation activities.
New Spanish A Level: Year 1 fact file (Aspects of Hispanic society, Artistic culture Hispanic World)
This resource contains 18 pages full of information (facts and statistics) covering all aspects of the themes covered in year 1 of the new Spanish A Level course. There are nine pages about Aspects of Hispanic society (three pages about Traditional and moden values, three oabout Cyberspace and three pages about Equal rights) and nine pages about Artistic culture in the Hispanic world (Modern day idols, Spanish regional identity and Cultural heritage).
I wrote this resource to help students include enough cultural information to score well in AO4 in paper 3 (the speaking exam), but information included in the resource can be easily adapted to a variety of reading and translation activities.

This two page file includes a lot of information about racism in Spain, part of the new Spanish A Level course, specifically the theme Multiculturalism in Hispanic society.

New Spanish GCSE - Writing support bundle. Perfect for home learning.
This bundle includes four resources to support Spanish GCSE students prepare for their writing exam:
Vocabulary booklet: a booklet with a lot of key vocabulary for each theme and topic of the new GCSE course, as well as a summary of the key exam rubrics and useful expressions.
Grammar booklet: this resource includes in fact two different versions of the same booklet (one of them an abridged version of the other one) that provide a very detailed overview of the key aspects of the grammar covered in the GCSE course, with plenty of examples and activities for the students.
90-word and 150-word question booklets: these two resources (one of them a TES PICK resource) contain twenty four questions each that follow the format of the 90-word and the 150-word questions in the new Spanish GCSE writing exam. They cover all three themes of the AQA specification, but can be easily adapted to other exam boards. In each booklet there are eight questions for each theme, and they can be used in lessons, but also as an easy way to set useful homework activities for the students.
Complex structures guide, to encourage stronger candidates to work independently to include more ambitious structures in their written work.
Cuando era pequeño (opinions in different tenses in Spanish)
I find this the single more useful worksheet I have written. It is a simple template to write an extended sentence about how opinons havechanged (When I was little I liked... because it was..., but now...). I have been using it with all my Spanish groups (7-11) in the last couple of years, insisting that they always use the structure in their written and oral work, and by doing this they automatically include two tenses, a variety of connectives and adjectives and opinions in all their work.
I have also included two further resources as examples of how I've been using it.

New Spanish GCSE: Theme 2(Local, regional, international and global areas...). Translation - UPDATED
A very comprehensive set of sentences (suitable for all abilities) and paragraphs (mainly higher) to translate from Spanish into English. The resource includes 91 sentences and six long paragraphs and they cover the following aspects of Theme 2 (Local, regional, international and global areas of interest), organised as follows:
Part 1: Home, town, neighbourhood and region
Part 2: Social issues (charity/voluntary work; healthy, unhealthy living) and Global issues (the environment; poverty/homelessness)
Part 3: Travel and tourism
Finally, the six longer paragraphs include language related to all three categories.
The sentences include references to a variety of tenses (present, preterite, imperfect, present perfect, conditional, future), as well as a wide range of complex structures (negatives, comparatives, conditional clauses…)
