I completed my BA (Hons) in Religious Studies and Theology in 2008 and my PGCE Primary in 2009 with a specialism in RE and have been working in education since then. I have worked across primary and secondary schools. I have now branched into SEN and my current role involves me being an interventions teacher for SEMH. However, I also support other aspects of SEN, including QFT, ANPs, EHCPs, chairing reviews, supporting CiC, including PEP meetings, completing referrals, and working with external agencies for all areas of need. Other qualifications include Nurture Teacher, Thrive Practitioner, Lv. 2 TQUK certificates in Autism Awareness, Understanding Behaviour that Challenges, Understanding SpLD, and Understanding Mental Health. I currently hold a Mental Health First Aider Certificate. I am also trained in Lego Therapy, Zones of Regulations, Numicon, T4W, RWI and Sounds~Write. In September 2022 I will be starting my NASENCo Award to pursue my ambition of becoming a SENDCo.
