A complete lesson for revision at the end of teaching Theme D Peace and Conflict in the AQA GCSE RS specification. Includes a retrieval quiz, a taboo style key word game, a revision clock, practice questions for the whole theme and peer assessment that includes a template sheet for students to give effective peer feedback. KS3 Full lesson about Varanasi in India and why Hindus go on Pilgrimage there. Lesson includes retrieval starter, videos with tasks and an extended writing and peer assessment plenary task.

A full KS3 lesson that explores two different beliefs about Judgement Day and their similarities and differences. Was originally created for low ability and SEND year 7 students. Includes a starter and Peer assessment. Suitable for year 7 and 8.

A complete lesson including resources. This lesson explores the work of Christian Aid, including their work in the current conflict in the middle east. This is then linked to the parable of the Good Samaritan and ‘Love thy neighbour as thy self’. Includes practice exam questions and peer feedback.

The second in a series of lessons that focus on the contribution of international groups to the global community, through aid and relief projects. This lesson focuses on Islamic Relief and includes the associated handouts. Can be adapted for for KS4 AQA theme D as part of the religious responses to victims of war section of learning.

An RE lesson designed for year 8 but could be used for year 7 or year 9. The first in a series of lessons focusing on international contributions to the global community, through aid and relief work. Can also be adapted for KS4 students learning about religious responses to war or poverty and hunger.

This is the first in 6 lessons of philosophy for core RE at year 11, but could also be simplified and used for year 10. It includes the activity of watching the Matrix which is only appropriate for these two year groups.

This lesson includes an essay planning sheet based the metacognitive practice of thinking about thinking before we write our answers.
