Essay Planning at A Level

Essay Planning at A Level

Resources to aid essay planning at A Level Literature. Essay cubes work well as a fun way to encourage students to plan essays. Each face forms the plan for one paragraph. They can be used individually or passed around to form group plans. The essay planner sheet is very helpful for encouraging students to logically think through the planning process too.

Narrative Method Tasks

Narrative Method Tasks

Originally designed as a series of 12 independent lessons for sixth formers to introduce narrative method. Also works well as a series of lesson tasks for less able students. Begins with accessible narratives in the form of songs and poems and moves to extracts from more complex texts. Would also work well as a homework booklet or summer work booklet.
