7 completed mind maps on the unit 2 of the AQA A-Level Business specification. They can be edited so that students can be given a template and to then fill in the gaps. I use as an in-class activity before an end of unit assessment.
94 retrieval activities for the whole GCSE Business specification and 8 different retrieval techniques that you can use as a starter or plenary.
A truely great resource!
If you email me I can also provide you with a tracker sheet that I use to keep track on which class has completed which retrieval activity over the two years. I use it in a random order and the students know that the first 5 minutes of every other lesson is started in this way. Great for consistency and for an SLT learning walk!

EDEXCEL GCSE Business tracker sheet for the 2 year course. Great visual for students to see where they are at on the course and for communication with home. I use this as their tracker sheet for assessments and students colour code based on their assessment results.

This resource was really effective for an intervention group I did with mainly boys who were not using the case study to help develop their answers.
The resource shows them the data from a football match between Barcelona and Chelsea. From the statistics shown it is fairly one sided but the match finishes as a draw and Chelsea progress.
The students are required to answer an exam style question on who they think deserved to win and WHY? This gets them to use the ‘case study’ to develop their points. PERFECT!
28 days worth of questions for the unit 3.6 Finance - perfect for a revision/half-term break - I usually print this as an A3 and hand out at parents evening as an intervention for students under-performing. Parents usually buy into the visual aid and stick this on their fridge.
An escape room activity which gets student to identify the 5 factors influencing the location decision of a business from the GCSE AQA specification. Students work individually or in pairs to identify the 5 factors and then when have identified the password come to the front of the room to unlock the PPT!
Following on from the escape room there is then 3 exam questions following the I do, we do, you do approach. One example of a perfect answer to a 3 mark question, working through one together as a class and then the class to do one themselves in timed conditions. A superb approach to exam questioning.
The resource has a sample of 6 of the 94 different retrieval activities available in the bundle package. It also gives you 2 techniques that you could also adapt to do retrieval practice. If you like this, please go ahead and purchase the bundle package. Alternatively, you can get individual units. Enjoy!
This is a great resource that I pick things from when I give my students an article or case study to really get them to think hard about what they have just read. I don’t follow it in a chronological order, these are just some of the tasks i will get the students to do following the article reading - I find by doing this they engage with the context in more detail. Please use/adapt where you wish.
Lots of different types of businesses - perfect when answering an exam question and getting students to think how the answer would change if it was “this business compared to this business”.
As a plenary activity, i would split the class into 4 (no moving around), but within that 4 they are in the pair they sit with. I will pose a question and we will then go round answering the question to each of their specific business type. Great for building context!
