Why should I take Music?

Video to help music teachers during the options process. I know the struggles of showing schools and educators that Music is important. It is vital that we keep music in the curriculum and not just as an extra. Students should study music at least at KS3, whether it is their passion or not and no school should take away the opportunity for students to study music further if they choose to. Everyone should be able to express themselves through music and the arts.

Introducing Musical Elements

I use this in lessons to introduce musical elements with the acronym DRIPTTT’s. I get students to shout out the words after they come up on the video and then again when the letters come up without the elements. Afterwards, I will question students on remembering the DRIPTTT’s in order. How have you used it?
