A powerpoint made up of 118 slides covering the Chemistry, Biology and Physics Required Practicals for the June 2022 exams using the Advanced Notice material. This powerpoint covers all the required practicals that will be examined in the AQA Combined Science foundation and higher content in the AQA Combined Science exam June 2022. The powerpoint also contains, exam questions with markschemes. The powerpoint should be used over a range of lessons or shared with students. This will take several lessons to walk students through these practicals and complete exam questions. Also contains exam booklets for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for Higher and Foundation.
Long Answer booklets I created to use with Chemistry, Biology and Physics triple Science students. Print booklet off as A5 for each student and use during the revision period. Suitable for AQA or Edexcel. 30-40 pages of 6 mark questions in each booklet.
Ready to use! Straight out of the box, no printing of resources needed. Lesson relates to AQA Chemistry/Trilogy 9-1 Specification. Lesson contains a simple but interactive True or False starter. Clear definitions of pure substances, mixtures, formulation. Lesson also builds into discussion of heating curves, melting points, boiling points and how these relate to state of matter. Also contains example exam question and plenary at end. Could be incorporated into a practical lesson relating to heating curves. I used this as a theory lesson with middle ability Year 11 students.
Enjoy. Feedback welcome.
Full lesson outlining Gas Volume calculations, ready to pick up and teach. Includes colour coded differentiated calculation questions. Exam questions for edexcel C3 also included with markscheme.
OCR Chemistry A - Amounts of Substance
Moles, Volumes, Ideal Gas Equation and Calculations lessons. Lesson covers the following:
Concentration, solution volumes, and the mole
Molar gas volumes
The ideal gas equation
Ideal gas equation calculations, worksheets and worked examples.
Ready to teach lesson. Accompanying worksheets and resources all found in powerpoint and ready to print. Lesson covers the AQA spec and goes over how water is processed to make it potable. I have used this many times and it seems to work well to cover the content.
OCR Chemistry A - Acids and Redox - Acid Base Titrations
Full teachable lesson covering the following areas:
Preparation of a standard solution
Carry out a titration
Analyzing titration results by calculation
Practical techniques for measuring the volume of solutions
Complete with worksheet calculations and answers to calculations
Ready to go A-Level lesson containing hand drawn notes, information slides, exam questions with model answers about the modern and Kekule structure of benzene. Straight out of the box and ready to teach.
Follows the OCR SOW but suitable for all A-level exam boards.
Bundle containing all the lessons from the OCR Chemistry B topic. I have personally used a taught from these and they worked really well. The calculations have been modelled in each lesson and allow students to develop a mastery of the topics.
2 worksheets created for a lower ability Year 8 class. Perfect for a starter activity, students can match up the pictures to the description and name of the resource. This could be completed on the interactive white board or printed and given to students as a short starter activity.
Non-renewable and renewable energy resources covered.
A-Level/GCSE Chemistry resource used to teach the concept of the Mole to Year 12 Chemistry students and will help to support GCSE Chemistry students. Lesson is ready to teach straight out the box. Lesson contains mole calculations, examples and sample exam questions. The lesson then goes on to explain how to calculate reacting masses from balanced equations using. Mole calculations are broken down and answers to questions are included in the powerpoint. Great for revising moles with Year 11 or recapping with Year 12 Chemistry students.
A-Level Chemistry lesson. Straight out the box and ready to teach. Lesson covers the following specification points relating to a variety of A-Level Chemistry Specifications:
Describe the electromagnetic spectrum
Describe transitions between electronic energy levels in atoms
Describe the difference between absorption and emission spectra
The relationship between the energy emitted and the frequency of the line produced
Relationship between between frequency, wavelength and the speed of electromagnetic radiation
Flame colours of Li+, Na+, K+, Ca+, Ba2+, Cu2+
OCR Chemistry A -Shapes of Molecules and Intermolecular forces
Covers Shapes of Molecules and Ions
To construct simple electron dot and cross diagrams to describe the electron arrangements in ions and covalent and dative bonds
