A week’s worth of planning, presentations and worksheets to teach your Year 6 pupils how to master Position and Direction from Block 4 - Week 11. Pupils will learn how to plot and read coordinates in all four quadrants; they will translate shapes on the coordinate grid; they will reflect shapes in the x and y axis; they will solve reasoning and mastery problems based on all these skills with a plentiful supply of SATs type questions for a varying range of abilities. The resources are differentiated. They include plenty of fluency practice as well as reasoning and mastery. Answers are provided. All lessons will fit in with White Rose planning.
