These are Powerpoints that I have made to help delivery of Art and DT and it is intended for year 2 ‘Puppets’. It is also suitable to use in the History ‘Toys’ unit with year 1. PPT 1 is the story and it focuses on adjectives, so as you progress through, they will be highlighted. A good opportunity for discussion and guessing which words they are. Ideal for descriptive work. PPT 2 focuses on the character of Gruffalo’s child and is a good introduction to character descriptions, including what they look like and their likes and dislikes.

This Power Point explores the topic of Op Art and is intended for upper KS2. It includes work by Bridget Riley and M C Escher. The slides show examples of optical illusions and how artists use lines and colour blocking to create the illusion of movement. Children will be able to get inspiration from the examples to create their own piece.

These PPTs are useful for lesson introductions about Area and Perimeter in KS2 maths. They can be used to demonstrate examples and calculation methods. To introduce area and perimeter you want to first start by choosing one skill to teach at a time. I usually start with area because you can relate it to multiplication which is one of the skills we do just before area and perimeter. PPT1 - Area- A little panda character runs through the method of finding the area of a shape by first counting squares and then by using WxL multiplication method. You can unlock the panda and remove to reveal Santa if your lesson coincides with Christmas. This PPT also contains differentiated worksheets which you can print off. PPT 2 - Perimeter- The same little panda helps you to go through how to calculate the perimeter of shapes in very simple steps.

These 2 PPTs are useful for KS2/ Year 4 Science topic of Hearing and Sound. They can also be incorporated into KS1 topics where relevent. PPT - The Ear LO: To recognise sounds and where they come from. This PPT shows animated GIFs of how a sound wave travels and how it gets from the sound source to the outer and inner ear and then to the brain. It can be edited if needed to block out any of the labels that aren’t relevent. PPT 2 is a “Guess The Sound” quiz to test how children can differentiate between different sounds. It contains sound clips with the correct answer to follow. Children find this lots of fun.

This PPT can be used as a stimulus for both KS 1 and KS 2 English lessons. LO: To describe a setting. It can be adapted and edited to suit your needs and contains images of different fantasy worlds that children can describe using powerful language or to use their senses to describe. You could even add questions or instructions and print off the slides for children to describe individually. The front cover of the PPT is animated and you can activate it by clicking the play button on the image prior to putting it on slide show mode.

This is a complete lesson for Year 4 maths, including a PPT presentation with links to a game and video. It has lots of opportunities for paired work and discussion, plus differentiated worksheets which can be printed from the PPT. LO: To solve word problems using addition and subtraction.

This PPT presentation is a very simplified way of introducing Greater than > Less than < to very young children. It is suitable for EYFS and KS1 children. It introduces <> by using Charlie the Crocodile, who likes to eat the bigger numbers.

These 2 PowerPoints are intended for Year 1/2 History topic on Homes. PPT 1 is about different types of homes with labels. PPT 2 shows “spot the difference” between old and new homes and artefacts. It makes comparisons between, eg, old toilet/new toilet etc. It has an animated front cover which you can activate by clicking the play button on the image before putting it onto slide show mode. They can be used as an introduction to the topic and as reinforcements to knowledge.
