This is a workbook i have put together for my students. It coveres the first part of OCR F212; magnification, cytoskeleton, eukarotic + prokarote cell structure. It contains a specification overview and a range of questions / activities that can be used in class / for revision / homework. This is a double sided worksheet I created for my top set to use during a cover lesson. Task 1: Students write the key term that matches the defintion e.g. genotype, phenotype. Task 2: Students use information on alleles for eye colour to determne phenotpyes and genotypes. Task 3: Students use the genetic cross diagram on the back to calculate % of each phenotpye and genotype.

This is a powerpoint i wrote for my A2 class. It goes over the structure and role of ATP. An introduction to co-enzymes / electron acceptors. Stages of glycolysis. Each stage contains a main slide outlining the points required for A2 and a supporting slide showing some of the bits the A Level skips; these are not required but were included as discussion points for the more able students. A work sheet that i produced for revsion with my bottom set y11 group. Contains circuit diagrams. Student use known voltage and current readings to determine unknown measurements. Covers the main ideas of current and voltage in series and parallel circuits.

Pupils answer questions on the worksheet to determine whether they are a visual, auditory or kinaesthtic learner. Once they have identified their learning style there are some suggested revision acitivities. (VAK quiz updated from - brainbox).

Card sort for AS Biology comparing the features of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Students arrange the statements inot 3 piles: statements about prokaryotes, statements about eukaryotes, statements that relate to both cell types. Slide 1 statments are sorted (the answer), bottom row relates to both cell types. Slide 2 statments are jumbled up so you could just print out and give to the students to cut up :-)

A homework worksheet I have made for my year 10 OCR 21stC group. The worksheet has some basic information of the inheritance of Cystic Fibrosis and some questions for students to apply thier knowledge of genetics. Questions include defintion of a carrier and monhyybrid crosses to determine % chance of CF heredity. I will use this following a lesson on the casues of CF / monhybrid inheritance. Lesson powerpoint and exam questions on the link reaction and krebs cycle. The first part of the powerpoint is a review of glycolysis. The resources required by students for the activities are at the end of the ppt. The Krebs cycle slides are more detailed than required for A Level. I use this as a stimulus for the students to annotate the simplified krebs cycle on the last slide. Hope its useful!
