This is a great resource for retrieval practice to test what the children have learnt in previous lessons/years. This resource is comprised of a blank world map divided into 6 sections for you to cut into 6 jigsaw pieces. The idea was that the children could first see if they could correctly assemble the world map first without any guidance. There are then labels for the children to correctly match up the oceans (blue labels) and continents (green labels).

This is a complete lesson with resources that focuses on children knowing how to apply number bonds within ten i.e. to find calculations that are ten or even hundred times greater and to find related facts (fact families) It includes a full teaching PowerPoint, as well as resources to go alongside it including an open ended investigation using dice and reasoning and problem solving questions.

This idea came about after playing the legendary game Linkee many times! It is a great way to test children’s knowledge of a variety of topics. It can be used as retrieval practice and really encourages deeper thinking as there could be many possibilities. It is also not limited to one subject and can be easily adapted for all ages and topics. This resource includes an editable template as well as several examples of how they can be used in lots of subjects. I hope you enjoy!

Tidy tub labels. I use them in the middle of each table so the children can put their paper rubbish and any other bits in there, instead of them getting up to go to the bin frequently. The tubs can then just be emptied at the end of the lesson/day :)
