It allows a student/teacher to work through and use the analysis in their teaching or own work. I use it for the NEA section of AQA English Literature A spec.

Romeo and Juliet Act 5 Scene 1, 2 and 3 powerpoint and activities

This is my powerpoint and lesson for studying Romeo and Juliet Act 5, Scenes 1, 2 and 3. There are differentiated activities, tasks, technical term and quotation analysis, a paragraph structure towards the end of Scene 2. Scene 3 is then on a seperate sheet, with the plot broken down into 18 statements, the powerpoint then contains 18 jumbled quotations for students to match to the statements, with extensions of technical analysis and audience effect built in. All is self-contained and ready to use in a lesson.

Curious Incident (play) quote question cheat sheet planner

(0)
These are my resources for helping students prepare for the Curious Incident (play version) question on the AQA English Literature paper. The cheat sheet is designed to narrow down the number of quotations students attempt to learn, and allow them to link quotations to multiple themes, and character questions, in order to overcome the fear of answering questions without the text or extract. Together, both files contain 38 small quotations, and by memorising as many as possible of these, students will be able to access and answer any exam question they are faced with. The first file is purely for Christopher, with the themes that can be related to his character and then the quotations that have been selected. The smaller boxes are where the students should revise that quote - reminding themselves of its context in the play, and putting some technical analysis. On the remaining pages there are larger boxes for students to make notes as to how each quotation links to different themes, perhaps writing some practice sentences and paragraphs to ensure they can link each one specifically. The second file is the same, but containing quotations for Ed, Judy, Siobhan and Stage Directions.

Romeo and Juliet - Act 1 Resources

These are my resources for studying Act 1 of Romeo and Juliet. There is an A3 sheet with a brief summary of every scene in Act 1, including setting, plot, key characters, key quotations and a space for students to link to their themes. There is then a document for each scene (Prologue through to Scene 5) which selects specific extracts for the students to focus on, analyse the language and answer questions in relation to. The questions are differentiated and scaffolded. These resources could be used as a workbook for students to work through independently, or they could be used as the basis for lesson plans.

Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time play - entire unit resources

These are all my resources for teaching the play version of Curious Incident, for the new AQA GCSE Literature spec. The resources are numbered from 1-21 to be used in order. There are a mixture of resources, mostly in the structure of a powerpoint that should take 2-3 lessons depending on class to cover content and analysis, and then an activity worksheet to work through skills or refresh knowledge. There is also a themes pack where students can record links to various themes, and a list of potential subjects for exam questions. All powerpoints and tasks are differentiated, with extension work and scaffolded work. There are also 2 exam papers to be taken as progress tests, one in the middle of the content and one at the end.
