Cell structure and organelles for observed lesson. Microscopy exercise starter. Nucleus; nucleolus; Smooth and Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum; Golgi Apparatus; Ribosomes; Lysosomes. Students have 5 minutes to learn about one organelle from displays, then present to group. Group collaborate to form holistic mind-map. This is used to individually complete essay question. Students collect information from around the room to help them classify ferns, mosses, grasses, conifers and flowering plants. Evaluate the differences between phyla, describe the characteristics. Must also consider four habitats that the environmental factors that plants must adapt to. Could easily be adapted for KS4 with reference to grass / flowering plants as monocotyledons / dicotyledons and Please leave feedback. Reproduction in angiosperms. WJEC A2 Biology. Cross and self-pollination. Receptacle, calyx, sepal, corolla, petal, stamen, filament, anther, carpel, ovary, ovule style and stigma. Generalised structure of flowers to compare wind and insect pollinated. I have used and adapted some excellent resources from TES uploaders, thank you for your help. You will need to use the the Channel 4 'Sperm Race' game and the University of Utah 'Cloning Mini' game. I have used some resources from TES and I hope I have not offended anyone by borrowing and changing your ideas, I must have thought they were great to use them if that&'s any consolation.

Short practical I made as part of a circus activity for Science Week. Students complete enzyme catalysed hydrogen peroxide decomposition. 2H2O2 --> 2H2O + O2. Students also completed practical using KI as the catalyst. Could be useful for showing the action of enzymes as catalyst. Could adapt to use potato or leaves as source of catalase.
