In this lesson, students are continuing their learning on healthy lifestyle and habits and today’s lesson is a bit more science-oriented. First, students are discovering the different categories of nutrients, learning about the roles of these nutrients and then categorizing food items into the different nutrient groups. Students are then asked to describe and compare 2 plates. For the more able students, they also need to explain why one of those plates is healthier and what could be done with the second plate to improve it. One activity for homework is also provided, which is to design a healthy plate and writing a paragraph, in French.
