This is a bundle of resources! It is based upon the short story by Michael Morpurgo. A scheme of work that is aimed at developing both reading and writing in Year 6. It is in principle 9 lessons but the writing aspect will extend where necessary. The resource has differentiated activities built in to develop skills for comprehension, including character work and also newspaper report writing.

These are the first 2 lessons in a scheme of work that explores life in The Stone Age through the picture book ‘Stone Age Boy’ by Satoshi Kitamura.
