Included: *General internet safety lesson/assembly - covers online safety rules and a broad introduction to the topic. *Cyberbullying lesson/assembly - what it is, how to avoid it and what to do if you see it. *Printable workbook of 12 independent tasks to support the above lessons. Also includes a certificate for completing the 'course'. Planning and differentiated activities are also included in both of the lessons. These resources are ideal for school E-safety Officers, computer science co-ordinators or primary class teachers, as they help to establish some basic e-safety guidelines and to create communication between home and school. 1. The newsletter is designed to be sent to parents of primary (KS1 & KS2) children, laying out advice for parents and explaining what the school aims to achieve in the area of online security. It has been written generically enough to be used by any school, but an editable Word version is also included. 2. The pupil contract sets out an agreement of important internet safety rules and expectations to be followed in school. It also has space for a signature from the child and from the parents. This is a pack of English book-themed activities, which can easily be used across KS2. They are all ideal for a Book Day or for independent work at other times of the year. This is a primary school assembly or lesson related to e-safety and digital footprints. It can be used across KS2, but is also easy to adapt for younger children. The topics covered also tie in nicely with Safer Internet Day. The main focus of the lesson is to identify what is meant by a digital footprint, before considering the importance of ensuring that we create a positive one. The children can discuss different online scenarios and how to deal with them, then they can design their own digital footprints, based on their own online behaviour.
