I am a teacher of Sociology, History and Psychology at a secondary school. My specialist subject is Sociology, and currently most of my resources are for AS and A Level Sociology AQA specification. These resources have been tried and tested, and are refined on a regular basis.

A revision checklist which breaks down the 5 key topics into manageable chunks and includes the key theories and sociologists, plus potential questions that could come up. This is suitable for anyone doing the AS level exam. I have a slightly different one for A level students which is tailored to the A level exam (the questions are slightly different).

This bundle includes PowerPoints and worksheets to cover the whole AQA A level Beliefs in Society topic. The information for the worksheets is mostly within the PowerPoints, though some require the use of Webb et al’s AQA A Level Sociology: Book 2. These can be used in class or as homework, and will provided students with a complete set of notes. There are also activities and exam questions included within the PowerPoints.

For each topic, there is a list of questions from past and practice papers. Please note, Practice Paper 3 refers to the sample papers available on the OCR website, and Practice Papers 1 and 2 are sample papers available on OCR interchange (password protected). Even if you are unable to access OCR interchange, this resource is useful as you can see the types of question that students could get asked. The 2019 questions are included in this checklist.

A PowerPoint and worksheet on Interactionist theories of crime and deviance, plus a separate worksheet on Lemert's study. There are links to lots of key studies, such as Stan Cohen's Mods and Rockers, Jock Young's hippie drug-users and Edwin Lemert's study on stuttering. The worksheet and PowerPoint also cover the impact of interactionist theories on social policy.
