An excellent worksheet covering everything that you may need up to grade 8 on solving factorisable quadratics. The fist 26 questions are already factorised and simply require the final step to achieve the solutions. The second 26 questions need to be factorised first but are limited to the case of a=1. The third 26 questions need to be rearranged or expanded and then rearranged before factorisation. Answers are included and have been checked independently. Solving a Linear and a Quadratic Equation Simultaneously + Answers

(0)
A very useful worksheet for grade 7+ students. This topic has been in every GCSE paper from all boards since the introduction of the 9 - 1 exam. This PDF consists of 26 questions on solving a pair of simultaneous equations - one linear and one quadratic - resulting in a quadratic equation and hence two points of intersection. All questions have been carefully worked out to give integer answers and none of the resulting quadratics are ‘ugly’. I recently added a second set of questions on where a line crosses a circle - focusing on one, two or zero solutions and their interpretation. Answers are included Please give feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.
